David Halperin

David spearheads the fund’s overall business development, including deal flow, growth of portfolio and commercial partnerships.
A prominent global businessman and entrepreneur, David is the co-owner of Optica Halperin — Israel’s largest optics retailer. Prior to Contrago Ventures, David was a successful angel investor with commercial interests across multiple industries. In addition, he runs the popular NGO Shaming Shames Me, operating in dozens of countries worldwide, which fights bullying among children and adults, and promotes respectful online discourse on the subject.
David is based in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Amitay Yamin

Amitay focuses on identifying and investing in startups that meet the evaluation criteria formulated at Contrago Ventures.
He began his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 15 as an HR manager at an agency before launching his own HR company. Following this, Amitay initiated a startup geared towards the hospitality industry. With his previous experience, he then joined Hanaco Ventures, a VC firm based in Israel and New York, as part of their investment team. Prior to Contrago Ventures, he was recruited as an Investment Advisor at Reinternational, a family office in Switzerland.
Amitay is based in Tel Aviv, Israel.
